Reviews

4 Penlu is a very comfortable flat. The view from the lounge across the bay is delightful. The flat is conveniently located just a few minutes walk, albeit up a hill, from the centre of town. Highly recommended.

Mr M,

We loved staying at Flat 4 Penlu, it was well appointed and really clean. The highlight is the view of the bay and cliffs, we enjoyed having breakfast with a view. The flat is a fantastic location, so close to town too. We cant wait to book our next stay here.

Miss R,

Great location with views of the sea and coast from the spacious living, dining kitchen area. The lift was very useful especially as the stairs were spiral! The parking for a small car was useful. Bedroom and ensuite a little cramped.

Mr C,

A pleasant flat with a stunning view, but only book it if you are happy to walk up an extremely steep hill and sleep in a very soft bed. Be aware the en-suite bathroom is awkward to access and there is very little space to hang clothes. The parking space will only just accommodate a family saloon.

Mr J,

Having stayed in the apartment a couple of years ago, my husband and I were hoping that it would be just as lovely as before. Thankfully the property was again spotlessly clean and the furnishings looked just as good as before. Given the fact that I was to be cooking main meals most days, I was appreciative of there being a good selection of utensils and pans. The knives were very sharp too. Although we never sat in the separate seating area, we found it very useful for storing our luggage so giving us more space in the bedroom. Of course, one of the main things that should attract anyone to the property is the view. It was wonderful being able to see the sea and the area closed to Old Harry rocks from the dining area - a much better view than you would get from most of the local eateries! The apartment would be in a great location for those holidaymakers who prefer to eat out though, as it was a short walk from the centre of town, where there was a good selection of restaurants, pubs and bars - the pier, beach and shops too. What's not to like about Flat 4 Penlu?!

Mrs H,

Flat provides excellent holiday accommodation and is good value for the money paid. The flat is situated up an slightly steep road which takes a ten minute steady stroll from the bottom of the hill (town), completely doable for folks like us in our seventies, a real bonus is the lift to all apartments. Lovely views over Swanage Bay.

Mr H,

Flat 4 Penlu was really lovely and comfortable with a fantastic view of Swanage. Our only problem was the lack of towels, that we thought were provided, and it turned out that there was only ONE towel per person for 7 nights. We had to go out and buy more and if we had known this in the first place, would have brought our own from home, instead of having to spend money on very inefficient beach towels. (Swanage has some lovely shops, but none selling quality towels). Otherwise, I would thoroughly recommend this flat to anyone. It is bright, airy, clean and an ideal location for holidaying in and around Swanage.

Mrs B,

4 Penlu is a delightful flat in a superb location with an amazing view over the bay. Very comfortable, with controllable heating (needed in chilly/rainy March!) and everything a couple would need is provided. It's only a five minute walk into the centre of town - but it's a steep hill back up. Coastal walks can be undertaken from the door.

Ms R,

Flat is situated in a great location close to town centre with amazing views over Swanage Bay. Very comfortable and spacious accommodation for two, benefitting from both an en-suite and separate bathroom as well as a reading room. Well located for local walks and site seeing.

Mr B,

The property, Flat 4 is sold on the website, as coming with a parking place. The parking places, at the back of the property are a joke. Before arriving an email saying that the parking spot will take a small average family car, is of no use, when you've forked out over a £1000 for a flat with a parking spot. I would have struggled to park my daughters Toyota Aygo in that spot. The people in flat 5, that you rent, deliberately parked in the wrong spot, meaning no access to parking all week. When I walked up to the office to discuss the matter, I was met with complete apathy. Not interested one iota. Just go and park on the street somewhere, does not compensate for the fact that I had booked a property with a parking spot. I came away to try and de-stress and lower my blood pressure, not have to deal with the stress of finding somewhere to leave my car overnight, whilst inconsiderate clients of yours, do not follow the rules at the flats, park an oversize car, and refuse to cooperate. And before you say that the parking spot next to 4 is 7, the person in 5 blocked the car park, then later parked in 7's spot, blocking reasonable access to bay 4. There are niggles with the property that other people have mentioned in the visitors book, a hot water system that can not cope with 2 people having a shower, without running out of hot water, broken towel rails, a tv that doesn't work in the bedroom etc. The only good thing was the view, and the quick walk into town. Not the relaxing break that I was looking forward to.

Mr John K,

Everything was excellent Only quibble was the duvet was very thick and heavy, fine for mid winter but certainly not mid summer
